Collaboration and Conferencing
Collaborative services allow individuals in differnet locations to work together easily in a live, online environment. Videoconferencing allows participants in different locations to interact with each other as if they were in the same meeting room. Telephone voice conferencing is also available for basic collaborative needs.
Applications supported include:
- Delivery of course content
- Collaboration with research groups from other institutions
- Faculty candidate interviews
- Student job interviews
Desktop-based collaboration service used to hold live online meetings. Meetings can include video and audio of each participant, desktop sharing, presentations, polls and file sharing. Please visit the Adobe Connect topic area for more information.

Conference Room-Based Videoconferencing
The Office of Information Technology conference room (Crawford Building Room 328) is equipped with a Tandberg camera and microphone system to allow 2-way audio and video from Florida Tech to a remote location.
Along with 2-way video, participants may share diagrams using a document camera. Presentations may be delivered to in PowerPoint format.

Telephone Voice Conferencing
Telephone conferencing service through the university is available at a cost of 3.5 cents per minute per connected user. Participants are provided a toll-free number to dial in. For further information contact the Telecom office at telecom@fit.edu or at 674-8002.
