The Instructional Technologies program at Florida Tech provides a series of training programs available to faculty, staff and students for the purposes of enhancing instructional delivery and continuing development for the technical support structure of the University.

Instructional Development
Instructional development training provides faculty with the experiences, tools, and resources to better deliver their educational material both in-class and out-of-class. Currently, the Instructional Technologies staff is developing a training program that will allow faculty to select the tools and resources appropriate to their set of courses, targeted at improving student retention of course material while enabling course material to be easily re-used and re-distributed for future work.

To further this mission at Florida Tech, the Instructional Technologies staff has constructed a state-of-the-art faculty development environment known as the Technology-Enhanced Content (TEC) Center. This Center provides a training environment for faculty, oriented at both group and one-on-one instruction, while also providing a common location for faculty use of instructional tools and support resources.

Toward this end, the Technical Support Development program works to better define support areas throughout the University, formalize service roles and skills needed to support each area, and provide training classes where necessary to better employee skills.
