Banner Training
Banner Navigation
This workshop familiarizes users with the Banner program. The session provides instruction in the Banner basics such as the various
types and parts of forms, name/ID search, data queries, data extraction, quickflows and setting up a personal menu. This class is a
pre-requisite for all other Banner sessions.

Population Selection
This is a beginner course that provides hands-on instruction in utilizing Banner to retrieve lists of students, employees or vendors
who meet certain criteria. The session covers defining criteria rules, querying a selected population, adding and removing people from
a population, using objects and using a sub-query variable. As a final exercise, participants will create a population selection
specifically designed to meet the needs of their own department. Participants should be familiar with Banner Navigation.

Requisition & Receiver Entry with Budget Query
This is a hands-on session that will provide practice creating requisitions and receivers. It covers different types of requisitions
and receiving documents, as well as how to track a purchase from the time you enter the requisition until it is received and paid. The
session also includes an introduction to budget query. Participants should already be familiar with Banner Navigation.

Object:Access Query
This is an in-depth, hands-on session that will provide instruction in creating queries using the Banner Object:Access views.
Participants will learn to use MS Excel and MS Query to retrieve data from the Banner database and return the results to an Excel
spreadsheet. This course requires a basic knowledge of Banner queries.
